Eurovision Song Contest 2013 Final in Malmö, Sweden, will soon be here! Having listened to all the Eurovision semi-final songs on Youtube last night, I decided that these three were my top pics for the 58th annual Eurovision Song Contest.
I love the electropop sound of the Norwegian Eurovision entry the most. “I feed You My Love” is by the Queen of the North, Margaret Berger. The drummer certainly is having a good time in the video.
However, as much as I like Norway’s refreshing sound, I’m not so sure that it will be the Eurovision 2013 winner. Norway will certainly finish in the top five, and I would love it to win!
Margaret Berger [Norway] – I Feed You My Love
Zlata Ognevich (Ukraine) – Gravity
I think Ukraine’s entry, “Gravity”, has amazing strong vocals by the very beautiful and talented Zlata Ognevich. I feel this song is more likely to appeal to more ESC fans. But then with music tastes varying across Europe, and the political voting too, it is difficult to predict who will become the outright winner of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
Koza Mostra & Agathon Iakovidis (Greece) – Alcohol is Free
I also love the Greek song “Alcohol Is Free” with vocals by the Koza Mostra & Agathon Iakovidis. It is a lively and happy song, and they sure need something cheerful to raise spirits in Greece with their crippled economy. I wish them luck too!
As for the UK entry with Bonnie Tyler, she was good in her day like Engelbert was that we had to sing for us last last year, but in my opinion they’re the wrong age group to appeal to Eurovision fans!
Anyway, I wish Norway luck in the Eurovision Song Contest on 14 / 16 /18 May! 🙂
