IS THE GRASS REALLY GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FENCE?
Today I want to talk to you about the grass IS NEVER greener on the other side… the grass is greener where you water it.
We often buy into the illusion or unrealistic hope that something other than what we currently have in our life will bring us the sunshine and happiness we crave.
We get sucked into this unrealistic FANTASY that keeps us from focusing on what is REAL, and beneath our feet right now.
When our thoughts are seduced by this fantasy, we stop believing in our current reality.
That which we crave feeds our fantasy, making our belief in this illusion even stronger, and as our discontent grows we abandon what we have and search for what doesn’t exist, and the more we are sucked into the illusion, the more we realize that we should have taken better care of what we have.
I see this in network marketing all the time. People peer over the fence and compare their real business, one that might not be going as expected, with their imagined beautiful idea about how much better life would be on the other side of the fence.
This leads them to start looking for, and focusing on, more and more of the flaws of their current business, and invest less time and energy into nurturing its growth, and they wonder why they have ceased making any further progress.
As you might guess, one of three things happen:
1) they stay stuck on the fence, not committed to either side, procrastinating in a state of non-action, but emotionally their mind is at work on the other side of the fence, except they don’t have the will to jump in.
or 2) They neglect their current business and jump over the fence, only to discover that the new life with the new company isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, or what they had envisioned in their mind’s eye.
or 3) They accept their reality and take responsibility for creating their own success, they start watering the grass on their side of the fence by taking daily action, finding things that work, focusing on getting the word out, and in time they realize they have always had what they craved.
But here’s the important part, what you water will grow. What you focus on expands. So, be grateful for what you have, nurture it, and you will realize that the beautiful garden you were wanting in already on your side of the fence.
PS: I am expanding my lifestyle team worldwide and are looking to help more open-minded people live the life of their dreams.
I am with a rapidly expanding company that has taken a fresh approach to revitalize an established industry. We help people own their own life, and have more control over their life.
Think about this, when you subtract out the sleeping time, commuting time, working time and time for things you have to do each and every day of your life, most people don’t have but one or two hours each day to do what they like to do – and then, would they have the money to do it?
We have discovered a way to learn how to own your own life by building a lifestyle team, and we have a system that is so simple anyone can do it. It doesn’t require any selling of any kind, and the best part is, it won’t take much of your time.
